A very thought provoking novel The story is set in the 1930's at the Cold Mountain Penitentiary. Remembered for its long runtime, for launching Michael Clarke Duncan into stardom, and for being one of the few adaptations of his writing that Stephen King actually enjoyed, the 1999 film The Green Mile has certainly left its mark on contemporary cinema. John then reveals the story psychically to Paul, and, when doing so, he also transfers a snippet of his supernatural energy into Paul. Sometimes it was tough for them and sometimes they just want to get over with this as it was deeply painful as most of the people were no longer what they were at the time of committing a crime. If you are already a King fan and haven't read this, then do yourself a favor at start this one immediately.
